AUDITORIAL
Bernie Krause and Soundscape Ecology
A Sounding Wild x Spatial Audio Labs Spatial Sound Design, Mix and Master work for The Guardian and Google.
The Guardian has launched an experimental feature format on World Accessibility Awareness Day, in partnership with Google and the Royal National Institute of Blind People.
This is a 17-minute audio-only story about Bernie Krause, pioneer of the ‘Soundscape Ecology’ research field, his life and what’s ahead of us. The experience is played back on a specifically-built platform that aims to make stories more accessible to visually-impaired people. Image resolution, colours and audio complexity can be chosen to personalise the experience based on each other needs.
BBC Springwatch
